Over $1 Million of Potential Fraud Prevented for a Global Carrier
A global telecommunications provider with operations in Australia, Canada, the UK, and USA. The company provides voice and data services to residential and business customers as well as wholesale carrier services.
Client’s Retail division was experiencing increased fraudulent network usage, significant volume of credit card charge backs and risked losing its merchant license from credit card companies. The source of credit card charge backs stemmed from services placed with stolen credit cards.
Rimhub worked closely with Client to establish and implement new policies, design and enhance existing processes.
•Instituted verification of services placed by new customers to immediately end fraudulent orders
•Enhanced and implemented its alert system for monitoring fraudulent network activity
The solutions put in place have saved Client over $1 million of potential losses and placed Client back in good standing with credit card companies.
“The ability of Rimhub to quickly recommend and implement solutions has significantly helped our bottom line. We now have a peace of mind knowing we have security in place to protect revenue leakage.” — Client Sr. Director of Finance
